Job summary

SpaceX in Redmond, WA is seeking a Laser Production Technician for Starlink production. The role involves building electrical sub-assemblies, optic assembly, and operating advanced automated equipment in a clean-room environment.

Qualifications

• High school degree or equivalent certificate is required.
• 2+ years of experience in an electro-mechanical manufacturing environment is preferred.
• Ability to read, interpret, and work from drawings and schematics.
• Experience setting up and running tests and experiments is a plus.
• Associate degree is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Build small electrical sub-assemblies following precise work instructions.
• Perform optic assembly, epoxy application, UV and oven curing.
• Fiber optic splicing and routing.
• Operate and troubleshoot complex automated equipment with engineering guidance.
• Maintain and calibrate lab equipment and track calibration schedules.
• Work in a clean-room environment following cleanliness protocols.
• Conduct test setups supporting multiple test regimes.
• Manage priorities and execute tasks to meet deliverables.
