Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC is seeking a Laser Production Technician to support Starlink satellite production in our Redmond, WA facility. You will build sub-assemblies, perform optic assembly, and operate automated equipment in a clean room environment to meet strict quality standards.

You will handle fiber splicing, test setups, and calibrations while coordinating with engineering for troubleshooting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1+ years hands-on work experience.
• Associate degree preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret layout drawings and assembly procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assemble small electrical sub-assemblies following work instructions to meet quality standards.
• Perform optic assembly, epoxy application, UV and oven curing.
• Splice fiber optics and route fibers.
• Operate and troubleshoot automated equipment with engineering guidance.
• Maintain and calibrate lab equipment, track calibration schedules.
• Work in a clean room, adhering to cleanliness protocols.
• Set up and run tests and experiments to support developments.
• Manage schedule priorities to meet deliverables.
