Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Laser Production Technician for Starlink in Redmond. You will assemble laser-related sub-assemblies, perform optic assembly, and handle fiber optic splicing in a high-precision environment.

The role requires attention to detail, the ability to read engineering drawings, and willingness to work varied shifts in a clean room. Qualified candidates have a high school diploma or equivalent, 1+ years hands-on experience, and familiarity with Windows and Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1+ years hands-on experience in electro-mechanical or precision manufacturing preferred.
• Associate degree helpful.
• Ability to read, interpret, and work from layout drawings, mechanical drawings, schematics, and parts lists.

Responsibilities

• Build small electrical sub-assemblies following work instructions to meet quality standards.
• Perform optic assembly: epoxy application, UV curing, and oven curing.
• Fiber optic splicing and routing; operate automated equipment with engineering guidance.
• Maintain and calibrate lab equipment, track calibration schedules.
• Work in a clean room, adhere to cleanliness protocols; support multiple test regimes.
• Manage schedule priorities and execute work to meet deliverables.
