Job summary

Kloeckner in Charlotte, NC is seeking a Laser Operator to set up, program basic tasks, and run laser equipment to produce high-quality parts. You will perform first-piece inspections and monitor output to ensure customer specifications are met.

You will adjust equipment as needed, train others on procedures, and uphold a safe, clean work environment while following all safety and quality guidelines.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, routers, and other production documentation.
• Proficiency in basic math and measurements using handheld tools.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Ability to operate laser equipment safely while following all safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Prepare production equipment for operation by making adjustments and assisting with changeovers.
• Operate laser equipment to ensure efficient, high-quality output.
• Conduct first-piece and in-process inspections to maintain quality.
• Complete production control charts and analyze recordings to verify specifications.
• Make necessary equipment adjustments to maintain product quality.
• Assist in training colleagues on production procedures.
• Maintain safe, clean working environment and follow all company policies.
