Klöckner & Co SE in Charlotte, NC is seeking a Laser Operator responsible for setting up, operating, and performing basic programming tasks to produce high-quality products safely and efficiently.

You will verify parts with first-piece and in-process inspections, read technical drawings, adjust equipment as needed, and contribute to a clean, safe work environment while supporting team objectives. Experience with preventive maintenance and recording production data is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, routers, and other production documentation.
• Proficiency in basic math and measurements, including use of hand-held tools.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality work.
• Ability to operate laser equipment safely while adhering to safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate laser equipment to ensure efficient production and quality output.
• Prepare production equipment for operation and assist with changeovers between runs.
• Conduct first-piece and in-process inspections to maintain quality standards.
• Complete production control charts and analyze recordings to ensure customer specifications are met.
• Make equipment adjustments to maintain product quality and assist with troubleshooting.
• Train other production staff on procedures and best practices.
• Maintain production operations by following policies, reporting changes and data as required.
• Ensure a safe, clean working environment by following all safety rules and procedures.
• Collaborate with team members to achieve production goals and meet deadlines.
