Olympic Steel Inc. in Buford, GA, is seeking a Laser Operator to manage the cutting of parts on laser tables and to ensure proper removal and identification of finished parts.

You will verify table values, nozzle selection, and material checks, monitor cut quality and product inspections, and uphold safety and quality standards during Friday–Sunday shifts from 6:00am to 6:30pm. Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous laser operations experience strongly preferred.
• Mechanically inclined, production oriented, and safety and quality conscious.
• General knowledge of crane operation and ancillary lifting devices.
• Detail oriented with ability to inspect material for quality conformance through the use of measuring devices and drawings.
• Working knowledge of general computer programs preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate laser cutting equipment and ensure proper part handling.
• Verify table values, nozzle selection, and material checks.
• Check cut quality, transformations and perform product inspections.
• Ensure quality and quantity of parts off the cutting tables.
