Qualifications include a High School diploma and at least 3 years hands-on laser operation, plus troubleshooting skills, ability to adjust settings, optics maintenance, and reading drawings for quality control.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years hands-on experience operating laser cutting machines.
• Strong troubleshooting related to laser operation, materials, feed/speed, nozzles and lenses.
• Proficiency in uploading/modifying laser program parameters to maximize cutting efficiency.
• Ability to perform daily preventative maintenance and inspect quality.
• General knowledge of crane operation and lifting devices.
• Detail oriented with ability to inspect material for quality conformance from drawings.

Responsibilities

• Operate laser cutting machines to cut parts and ensure quality.
• Remove, label, and package cut parts from the cutting table.
• Verify proper table values, nozzle selection, and material checks.
• Inspect cut quality, perform transformations and product inspections.
• Perform daily maintenance of optics/lenses and monitor gas levels.

Job Description

TheLaserOperatorposition is responsible for all job tasks associated with the cutting of the parts and the proper removal and identification of the cut parts from the cutting table and packaging, including but not limited to: ensuring proper tech table values, nozzle selection, material checks, cut quality, transformations and product inspections. As the Laser Operator, you are responsible for the quality and quantity of the parts coming off the table(s).

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience operating laser cutting machinesstrongly preferred.
• Strong troubleshooting skills related to laser operation, including materials, feed/speed settings, nozzles, and laser lens/consumables
• Proficiency in uploading and modifying laser program parameters to maximize cutting efficiency
• Ability to perform daily preventative maintenance tasks such as cleaning optics/lenses and monitoring gas levels
• Solid understanding of laser cutting parameters with the ability to visually identify cutting issues and apply effective problem-solving techniques to adjust settings accordingly
• General knowledge of crane operation and ancillary lifting devices.
• Detail oriented with ability to inspect material for quality conformance through the use of measuring devices and drawings.
