Job summary

Olympic Steel Inc. in Buford, GA, is seeking a Laser Operator to manage the cutting of parts on laser tables and to ensure proper removal and identification of finished parts.

You will verify table values, nozzle selection, and material checks, monitor cut quality and product inspections, and uphold safety and quality standards during Friday–Sunday shifts from 6:00am to 6:30pm. Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous laser operations experience strongly preferred.
• Mechanically inclined, production oriented, and safety and quality conscious.
• General knowledge of crane operation and ancillary lifting devices.
• Detail oriented with ability to inspect material for quality conformance through the use of measuring devices and drawings.
• Working knowledge of general computer programs preferred.

Job Description

The Laser Operator position is responsible for all job tasks associated with the cutting of the parts and the proper removal and identification of the cut parts from the cutting table and packaging, including but not limited to: ensuring proper tech table values, nozzle selection, material checks, cut quality, transformations and product inspections. As the Laser Operator, you are responsible for the quality and quantity of the parts coming off the table(s). The working hours for this position will be Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 6:00am -6:30pm.

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
