Fire Manufacturing Innovations in Manitoba is seeking an operator to set up and run laser cutting equipment, ensuring parts meet print and traveler requirements. You will monitor performance, optimize material usage with nesting software, and follow Epicor ERP workflows.
The role requires 1-3 years in manufacturing, basic math skills, and the ability to work safely both independently and in a team, with attention to detail and the capacity to handle close tolerances.
Operators are responsible for set-up and operation of laser cutting machines to produce products meeting customer quality requirements. Operators must also operate and process parts according to print and traveler requirements. Operators must monitor machine cutting performance and utilization.
This job operates in a fabrication shop and may be completed in a confined area subject to loud noise. Full-time work and overtime is expected per business needs.
