Job summary

Phoenix Stamping Group is seeking a Laser Operator to set up and run laser machines, production saws, and tumble blast processes on the shop floor. You will analyze drawings, adjust settings, and verify parts against specifications while maintaining safety standards.

The role requires reading blueprints, performing basic shop math, and following 5S practices. Candidates should be prepared to lift up to 50lbs and work in a team environment on site.

Qualifications

• Experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment preferred.
• Willingness to rotate through multiple manufacturing operations.
• Ability to perform standard shop computations (math).
• Ability to read schematics and engineering drawings.
• Ability to read, understand, follow and enforce safety procedures.

Responsibilities

Job Purpose

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

• Analyze engineering drawings, specifications, work instructions, and other quality documents
• Adjust machine settings per part specifications and troubleshoot machine setting issues
• Examine work pieces for defects and measure work pieces with fixtures, gauges, and measuring tools to ensure conformance with specifications
• Maintain tolerances determined by part specifications
• Ability to perform preventative maintenance and maintain the area’s 5S standards
• Recognize, set up, and operate hand and power tools
• Must be able to lift up to 50lbs
• Perform other duties as required or assigned by supervisor
• Follow all OSHA and internal safety standards
