Metalworks Inc. in Lincoln, NE is seeking a Laser Operator to load materials and programs into the laser, ensuring precise cuts and adherence to all procedures.

This full-time role offers shift Friday–Sunday 4:30 AM–3:00 PM with a 40-hour pay and differential, training on first shift, and a benefits package including 401(k) match and comprehensive health options.

Qualifications

• Forklift experience and at least two years of general manufacturing/production experience required.
• Laser operating experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Load materials and programs into the laser machine and ensure proper cutting per procedures.
• Set up and inspect parts in each cell and follow supervisor schedules.
• Troubleshoot automation errors (mechanical and program related).
• Maintain minor repairs and perform preventative maintenance.
• Work with material handling software, WIP and raw material locations.

Summary:

The Laser Operator is responsible for loading the proper material and programs into the machine and to ensure that the machine is cutting properly while ensuring all procedures and company policies are being followed.

Shift:

Friday-Sunday 4:30AM-3PM. Work 36 hours but get paid for 40 hours with differential! TRAINING ON FIRST SHIFT until objectives are met Monday-Thursday 5:30AM-4PM with mandatory OT when applicable.

Pay Range:

$21/hr.
