Job summary

A full-service metal manufacturing company is seeking a Laser Cutting Machine Operator to join their team. This role involves setting up and operating an Amada laser cutting machine, conducting quality checks, and programming nesting software. Successful candidates will have a high school diploma, prior experience with laser equipment, and strong troubleshooting skills. Additional offerings include 401k match and health insurance. Weekend shifts are from Friday to Sunday, 12 hours.

Job description

We are a full-service metal manufacturing company that was founded in 1908. Our capabilities include stamping, precision laserjet and waterjet cutting, welding and assembly, short run stamping & long run stamping. Job Purpose:

The purpose of this position is to set-up and operate the Amada laser cutting machine. This individual will be performing machine set-up including program retrieval, ensuring proper gases and nozzles, and correct material selection. This position is a weekend shift, Friday through Sunday, 12 hour shifts, paid for 40.

Job Responsibilities:

• Ability to diagnose machine problems while performing jobs, making modifications as needed.
• Performs laser cutting operations efficiently and effectively per specifications.
• Performs detailed checks to the quality of product machined and notify supervisor of process issues.
• Operates and navigates in a Windows-based computer environment.
• Ability to program nesting software to maximize product/material usage.
• Adheres to safety procedures and regulations, including proper maintenance and housekeeping of laser area.
• Performs other related duties as required.
