Job summary

Phoenix Stamping Group, LLC is seeking a Laser Operator at our Atlanta, GA facility to set up and run laser cutting machines, production saws, and tumble blast units. You will interpret engineering drawings, adjust settings, and monitor part quality to meet specifications.

In this role you must be able to lift up to 50 lbs, rotate across multiple operations, and follow safety procedures while contributing to a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Competitive hourly pay plus bonus offered.

Qualifications

• Experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment preferred.
• Willingness to rotate through multiple manufacturing operations.
• Ability to perform standard shop computations (math).
• Ability to read schematics (blueprints) and engineering drawings.
• Ability to read, understand, follow and enforce safety procedures.
• Ability to follow administrative/procedural policies as well as work within a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Analyze engineering drawings, specifications, work instructions, and other quality documents.
• Adjust machine settings per part specifications and troubleshoot machine setting issues.
• Examine work pieces for defects and measure work pieces with fixtures, gauges, and measuring tools to ensure conformance with specifications.
• Maintain tolerances determined by part specifications.
• Ability to perform preventative maintenance and maintain the area’s 5S standards.
• Recognize, set up, and operate hand and power tools.
• Must be able to lift up to 50lbs.
• Perform other duties as required or assigned by supervisor.
• Follow all OSHA and internal safety standards.

Hourly Rate: $20.70/hour + $100 per pay period bonus
