Job summary

Graepel North America in Omaha, NE, seeks a dedicated CNC Laser Operator to set up and run our laser cutting systems for metal fabrication. You will read blueprints, verify part quality with precision measuring tools, perform routine maintenance, and collaborate with a team to meet production goals.

The shift is Monday through Thursday, 2:30 PM to 12:30 AM, with Friday–Sunday off. Medical and Dental premiums are paid 100% for employees and dependents, reflecting Graepel North America's

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Experience operating a CNC laser in metal fabrication.
• Ability to read blueprints and use precision measuring devices.
• Forklift certification required or ability to obtain.
• Ability to work in a team or independently.

Responsibilities

• Ability to setup and operate CNC laser machine.
• Knowledge and hands-on operation of CNC laser for metal fabrication including program retrieval, proper gases, proper nozzles, lenses, etc.
• Knowledge and understanding of metal fabrication process and concepts.
• Provide routine preventative maintenance and minor repairs to CNC laser machine.
• Setup metal fabrication machinery and other production necessities to produce "0 defect" parts.
• Check accuracy of work using blueprints and precision measuring tools.
• Accurately complete work orders with correct quantities of good and defective parts.
• Work a regular schedule determined by supervisory management.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisory personnel.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

SKILLS & ABILITIES

Education:

• High School Degree or equivalent and/or related experience required.

Experience:

• Ability to use Direct read measuring devices required.
• Ability to properly document paperwork.
• Previous experience in manufacturing engineering, fabrication management and/or operations of low and mid-sized volume metal fabrication preferred.
• Ability to operate a forklift and obtain certification.
• Ability to work in a team environment and/or independently.
