Description

The Laser Operator safely operates CNC laser equipment to produce precision metal parts per customer specifications, meeting all safety, quality, and productivity standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate CNC laser machines to produce parts per specifications.
• Load and unload materials using forklifts, cranes, or by hand.
• Inspect finished parts for accuracy using standard tools.
• Maintain machine performance by cleaning optics, nozzles, and filters.
• Record production data and communicate issues to maintenance.
• Follow all safety and PPE protocols.
• Participate in team-based problem solving and process improvement.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 6+ months of manufacturing or laser operation experience preferred.
• Basic computer and ERP system knowledge.
• Ability to read blueprints and follow work instructions.
• Strong attention to safety, quality, and detail.
• Dependable, punctual, and team-oriented.
• Effective communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to perform repetitive physical tasks and lift up to 45 lbs.

Work Environment & Physical Demands

• Manufacturing floor environment with variable temperatures.
• Standing, bending, and repetitive lifting required.
• Requires hearing and eye protection at all times.
