Job summary

Rapat Corporation, a family-owned manufacturer with over 50 years of expertise, is seeking a Laser Operator to join our team in Hawley, MN. You will read blueprints, verify specs, perform tooling changes and stage parts for the next operation while ensuring quality at every step.

This full-time role includes operating the fiber laser and multiple machines, using nesting software, and performing routine maintenance. Prior forklift and crane experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least 1 year of related education or training.
• Forklift and overhead crane experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of NC/CNC equipment.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to read blueprints and job orders.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints and use a protractor to verify tolerances.
• Verify specs and perform tooling changes as needed.
• Do inspections and routine maintenance on equipment.
• Assist with troubleshooting and repairs.
• Stage parts for the next operation.
• Operate machines: shear, drill press, forklift, punch press, and fiber laser.
• Use nesting software to optimize material layouts.

Full-Time: 45-hour work week

Compensation: DOE

Shift Details

• Mon-Thu: 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM
• Fri: Overtime as needed
