Job summary

Phoenix Stamping Group, LLC in Atlanta, GA, is hiring an Assembly Machine Operator to run hand-operated metal stamping presses and support the Assembly department.

Reports to the Production Supervisor on the 2nd shift; you will perform quality checks, complete production paperwork, and move materials with pallet jacks in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Competitive pay and benefits apply.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience.
• Must be able to lift 25 lbs, stand for long periods, and perform repetitive motions.
• Must be able to follow all safety and quality procedures.

Responsibilities

• Operate press for assembly operations
• Reviews job traveler and part drawings to accurately produce parts
• M ake all required quality checks during production to ensure parts meet specs
• Completes job related paperwork and production reporting
• Operate material handling equipment including pallet jacks
• Maintain organized, clean and safe work area per 6S and safety standards
• Comply with environmental safety practices and regulations
• Perform other related duties as assigned or requested.

Starting Hourly Base Rate: $15.50/hour + 10% shift premium with the opportunity to make production bonuses through piece rate incentives!

Profit Sharing Bonuses:Eligible after 6 months and a full quarter of employment distributed every quarter!

Referral Bonuses:We offer referral bonuses for both the employee and referring candidate! Up to $1,600 in the span of a year for each!

Job Purpose: Ultimately responsible for operating hand operated metal stamping presses and other duties required in the Assembly department.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

• Operate press for assembly operations
• Reviews job traveler and part drawings to accurately produce parts
• Makes all required quality checks during production to ensure parts are produced to required dimensions and conform to all specifications.
• Completes all job related paperwork and production reporting to accurately record part quantity and scrap
• Operate material handling equipment including pallet jacks to move raw material and parts as needed
• Maintains an organized, clean and safe work area using 6S guidelines and safety standards
• Complies with all environmental safe practices and regulations
• Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.

• Previous experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
• Must be able to lift 25 lbs, stand for long periods of time, and perform repetitive motions
