Job summary

Phoenix Stamping Group, LLC is seeking Line Operators for our Atlanta, GA facility to run automated production lines, monitor equipment, and ensure quality and safety standards. You will help convert raw metal into finished wire rod products.

We expect 2–5 years of production experience, familiarity with u-bolt/bent bolt processes, and the ability to read schematics and engineering drawings. Candidates should be able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform basic maintenance of equipment.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of experience in production/manufacturing environment.
• Experience with standard shop measuring tools and hand tools.
• Exceptional attendance record.
• Experience operating metal stamping presses preferred.
• Ability to perform standard shop computations (math).
• Ability to read schematics (blueprints) and engineering drawings.
• Ability to perform basic maintenance of equipment.
• Ability to read, understand, follow and enforce safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate line according to production specifications.
• Inspect equipment before and monitor equipment during production; verify proper operation by checking process parameters and indicators.
• Examine work pieces for defects and measure using fixtures or templates to ensure specifications.
• Report production quantities accurately according to the company’s recording process.
• Troubleshoot mechanical issues and identify causes of errors, problems and defects.
• Perform basic machine maintenance and mechanical work as needed.
• Operate material handling equipment including forklifts, pallet jacks, overhead crane to move raw material and parts.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Perform other duties as required by supervisor.
• Follow all OSHA and internal safety standards.

Job Description

Reports to: Production Supervisor

Job Purpose: Line Operators run automated lines, monitor equipment during production and ensure compliance with all quality and safety standards. The ideal candidate would have 2-5 years of experience and has u-bolt and bent bolt experience. This candidate would be running wire rod raw material into the finished product.

Key Responsibilities And Accountabilities

• Set up and operate line according to production specifications
• Inspect equipment before and monitor equipment during production. Confirm that it is working properly by checking process parameters and indicators.
• Examine work pieces for defects and measure work pieces with fixtures or templates to ensure conformance with specifications
• Report production quantities accurately and according to the company’s recording process
• Troubleshoot mechanical issues and identify the cause of errors, problems and defects
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to perform basic machine maintenance
• Operate material handling equipment including forklifts, pallet jacks, overhead crane, etc to move raw material and parts as needed
• Able to lift up to 50lbs
• Perform other duties as required or assigned by supervisor
