Stainless Piping Specialists in Wisconsin is seeking a Pipe Laser Machine Operator to safely perform laser cutting for stainless pipe configurations. 1st & 2nd shift positions available.

Qualifications

• 1 year of manufacturing experience.
• 1 year of laser operator experience preferred.
• Blueprint reading.
• Organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate laser cutting equipment to process stainless pipe configurations.
• Select proper pre-loaded cutting programs and set up equipment for cutting.
• Adjust laser beam focal point and verify cut quality.
• Perform dimensional inspections and report defects to supervisor.
• Load material using overhead crane or forklift when preparing cuts.

is seeking an enthusiastic individual to join our team to operate our Pipe Laser Machine. Come work with a great talented group here at SPS!

Summary/Objective:

The laser machine operator position safely performs laser cutting for a variety of Stainless Pipe configurations. 1st & 2nd shift positions available.

Essential Functions:

• Perform typical Pipe laser cutting operations.
• Select proper pre-loaded cutting programs.
• Establish proper stop location, adjust laser beam focal point.
• Make proper set-ups for cutting operations.
• Perform dimensional inspections.
• Detect and report defective materials to supervisor
• May perform a variety of other tasks as production needs require
• Load equipment with raw material using the overhead crane and/or forklift in order to prepare the equipment for an accurate cut.

Education and Experience:

• 1 year of manufacturing experience.
• 1 year of laser operator experience preferred.
• Blueprint reading.
• Organizational skills.

Physical Demands:

• This position requires standing, walking, & bending throughout shift, including lift and/or move items at times of over 50 pounds.
