Job summary

Steel & O'Brien Manufacturing in Arcade, NY is seeking a skilled Laser Machine Operator to set up, program, and operate laser cutting equipment for stainless steel tubing, delivering high-quality parts to specification with safety and efficiency.

You will interpret blueprints, program with CAD/CAM or G-code, adjust machine settings for precision, inspect finished parts, and collaborate with engineering to continuously improve processes while maintaining equipment performance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (technical training preferred).
• 2+ years experience operating CNC or laser cutting machines.
• Experience with stainless steel tubing and tube laser cutting preferred.
• Proficiency in machine programming (G-code, CAD/CAM software, or similar).
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Strong attention to detail and quality control.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.

Responsibilities

Working Conditions:

• Fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Requires standing, walking, and lifting for extended periods.
