Laser Machine Operator (Manufacturing)

This is a Temporary Seasonal position and, under the Illinois Paid Leave for All Workers Act, will receive 1 hour of paid time off for every 40 hours worked.

Position Details

• Position: Seasonal Laser Operator
• Shift: 3rd Shift (11PM to 7:30 AM)
• Expected Duration: 3 to 6 months

Essential Functions

1. Use of forklift to load, unload, and adjust placement in the machine (Remmert and Tekmag) of material and workpieces to be processed.
2. Ensure pieces and material received for processing and removed after processing are tagged with correct count and identification number, without multiple tags.
3. Monitor machine and take corrective action as needed.
4. Meet or exceed production rates and quality standards.
5. Maintain a clean and safe work area.

Position Prerequisites

• Comply with all rules and regulations of Agri-Fab, Inc., and actively contribute to workplace safety.
• Interact positively and cooperatively with co-workers and management.
• Participate in and stay current with required safety training.
• Support manufacturing improvement programs and initiatives, offering and helping to implement suggestions.
• Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe work environment; wear all required PPE.
• Follow standard work and work instructions.
• Pay high attention to detail.
• Communicate safety, quality, or other concerns with appropriate urgency.
• Cross-train to perform all tasks within job rotation.
• Work overtime, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
• Possess a valid driver’s license.

Work Environment

Subject to hot temperatures and loud working conditions. Skin may be exposed to oils and/or coolant.
