Job Title: Machine Operator

The Machine Operator performs various responsibilities in the warehouse, including pulling and checking customer orders, moving materials, loading and unloading shipments, and general material handling. Operates necessary equipment to store and move products throughout the warehouse.

Primary Responsibilities

• Load and unload trucks efficiently.
• Perform material movement tasks for order filling, receiving, and loading.
• Safely operate power equipment (crown truck, Raymond side-loader, overhead crane, forklift, etc.) to move materials.
• Follow customer requirements to select, fill, and package orders.
• Attach bundle tags and stage materials for shipment.
• Follow instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform job functions.
• Work under immediate supervision.
• Report equipment defects and perform setup and preventative maintenance as needed.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.

Physical Demands and Working Conditions

• Stooping, standing, manual dexterity required.
• Light lifting (up to 25 lbs), frequent heavy lifting (over 25 lbs).
• Wear assigned safety equipment at all times.
• Exposure to mechanical moving parts.

Minimum Qualifications

Required

• Basic measurement and math skills.
• Knowledge of warehouse concepts, practices, and procedures.
• Strong work ethic.

Preferred

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One year of work and equipment experience.
• PC literacy.
• Certification in operating equipment (forklift, crane, etc.).

Experience with PLC controlled cutting is a plus.
