Job summary

STAINLESS PIPING SPECIALISTS is seeking an enthusiastic individual to join our team to operate our Pipe Laser Machine. The laser operator position safely performs laser cutting for a variety of Stainless Pipe configurations. 1st & 2nd shift positions available.

This role requires standing, bending, and lifting up to 50 pounds, with opportunities to contribute in a growing ESOP environment and a collaborative team setting.

Qualifications

• 1 year manufacturing experience.
• 1 year laser operator experience preferred.
• Blueprint reading.
• Organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform typical Pipe laser cutting operations.
• Select proper pre-loaded cutting programs.
• Establish proper stop location, adjust laser beam focal point.
• Make proper set-ups for cutting operations.
• Perform dimensional inspections.
• Detect and report defective materials to supervisor.
• May perform a variety of other tasks as production needs require.
• Load equipment with raw material using the overhead crane and/or forklift in order to prepare the equipment for an accurate cut.
