Job summary

An established manufacturer in Wilson, NC seeks a CNC Laser Cutter/Lathe Operator. This role involves operating laser cutting machines, monitoring production processes, and performing quality checks. The ideal candidate should have previous machining experience, the ability to read blueprints, and be detail-oriented. This is a direct hire or temp-to-hire position with a work schedule of Monday–Friday, from 7:00am to 3:30pm, with potential for overtime.

Job description

Accentuate Staffing is assisting an established manufacturer in the Wilson, NC area who is hiring a CNC Laser Cutter/Lathe Operator to join their team. This is a direct hire or temp-to-hire opportunity working 1st shift, Monday–Friday, 7:00am–3:30pm, with occasional early start OT as early as 5:00am.

Responsibilities

• Operate laser cutting machine to produce aluminum and metal parts
• Operate manual machines including lathes and drill presses
• Monitor machine operation during cutting process to ensure accuracy and quality
• Perform grinding and deburring to finish parts after machining
• Read and interpret blueprints and production drawings
• Perform basic quality checks using calipers and other measuring tools
• Work with small parts and maintain attention to tolerances and specifications
• Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized work area

Requirements

• Previous machining or manufacturing experience required
• Ability to read blueprints and work instructions
• Experience using calipers and basic measuring tools
• Comfortable working in a hands‑on production/shop environment
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks
• Must be detail-oriented and able to monitor machine processes independently
• Welding experience is not required but is a plus
• Ability to work overtime when needed
