Job summary

XOVR CNC Parts & Service is seeking a Laser Applications Specialist to support CNC machine tools across the United States. The role involves hands-on application support, training, data analysis, and engineering-backed problem solving for laser cutting, press brakes, and robotic systems.

Ideal candidates have CNC experience, strong troubleshooting skills, and a background in laser cutting, especially fiber laser systems, with travel across the U.S. within one hour of a major airport.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering preferred but not required.
• Experience with CNC machine tools is essential.
• Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams (layout/electrical/pneumatic/hydraulic).
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with laser cutting is strongly preferred, especially fiber lasers.

Responsibilities

• Baseline/debug new CNC equipment systems.
• Train customers and operators on operation and procedures.
• Troubleshoot existing equipment systems.
• Analyze data to assess machinery performance.
• Document machine safety, maintenance and reports.
• Develop cutting parameters and processes for customer applications.
• Provide pre- and post-sales technical support on CNC tools.
• Collaborate with engineers, service managers, and customers to improve utilization.
