Position Overview

XOVR CNC Parts &Service is seeking to fill multiple positions for an Laser Applications Specialistto provide expert-levelapplication support, process optimization, training,and technical solutions for CNC machine tools. Thisrole requires travel across the United States, and is idealfor a hands-on, customer-facing engineer who thrives in a fast-paced, problem-solving environment and wants to make an impact on our customers' productivity. XOVR CNC Parts &Service services, installs, and trains on laser cuttingsystems, press brakes, robotic systems, plasma cutting systems,drills, saws, and other metal fabrication equipment. Allcandidates must live within one hour of a major airport.Experience with CNC equipment is preferred. Experience withlaser cutting systems is a strong plus, particularly withfiber laser systems used in metal fabrication.

Essential Job Functions

• Training newcustomers and operators on equipment operation, procedures,and best practices
  
• Performing dataanalysis to assess machinery performance
  
• Documenting machinesafety, maintenance, and operational reports
  
• Reading andinterpreting layout, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic diagrams/schematics
  
• Collaborating withengineers, service managers, and customers

• Murrieta, CA /Bozeman, MT Employees: 70% travel with partial time at ourMurrieta, CA or Bozeman, Mt location.
  
• Regular travelwithin assigned U.S. territories (1-2 weeks on-site,home on weekends when possible)

Qualifications

• Foundation of engineering technical knowledge such as a degree in Mechanical Engineering (ME) or Mechanical Engineering Technology (MET) (preferred, but not required)
• Experience with CNC machine tools
• Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams (layout/electrical/pneumatic/hydraulic)
• Strong mechanicaland electrical troubleshooting skills
• Experience in lasercutting strongly preferred
• Excellentcommunication and reporting skills
• Self-motivated withstrong customer-service orientation
• Ability to problemsolve methodically, and provide logical solutions
• Must live within one hour of a major U.S. airport
