Job summary

TRUMPF is seeking an Applications Engineer in Wisconsin to showcase our laser cutting, bending and welding technologies. You will support customers during the purchasing decision and throughout the product lifecycle, including on-site assistance and training.

The role requires 2-year technical schooling (4-year preferred) and prior experience with machine tools or TRUMPF equipment, with strong communication being essential for customer interactions.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills required.
• Experience in the machine tool industry preferred.
• TRUMPF product knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the expert for 2D laser technology; explain machine options and operate TruLaser games.
• Independently organize and conduct persuasive customer demonstrations and industry trade shows.
• Evaluate customer parts and create programs to demonstrate TruLaser; advise on design modifications.
• Generate customer time estimates, provide recommendations for product selection and sample parts.
• Consult customers on programming issues and provide on-site and telephone support.
