Base pay range

$24.00/hr - $29.00/hr

Position Overview

This role involves setting up and operating CNC 3 or 5 axis machining centers, performing operations such as reaming, milling, drilling, boring, and tapping. The machinist will select, set, and calibrate tools, ensure proper operation, and maintain safety and quality standards.

Shift Details

First shift starts at 6am or 7am (optional).

Responsibilities

• Receive work assignments, review drawings, set-up sketches, programs, and tool lists.
• Use cranes and lifting devices to position workpieces, perform measurements, and alignments.
• Install programs and tools, monitor operations, and adjust as needed.
• Report and troubleshoot program errors.
• Check tool settings and dimensions, perform layout work, and ensure fixture integrity.
• Perform close machining operations on various parts.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment and adhere to quality procedures.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of machining center experience.

Preferred Skills

• Technical school certificate or degree (valued but not required).
• Programming skills (valued but not required).
• Ability to interpret prints with GD&T, good math skills, attention to detail, and commitment to core values.

Tools & Equipment

CNC machining centers, rotary tables, cranes, cutting tools, measuring instruments, etc.

Physical & Work Environment

Requires standing, walking, bending, lifting up to 50 pounds, and exposure to noise, fumes, and mechanical parts.
