CNC Milling Machinist - 2nd Shift - 10% shift differential

Join us as a CNC Milling Machinist - 2nd Shift - 10% shift differential at ARCH.

Job Overview

This role involves interpreting blueprints, setting up machines, operating CNC and manual milling equipment, inspecting finished parts, and performing routine maintenance. Collaboration with engineers, programmers, and inspectors is essential to ensure quality and efficiency.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Interpret blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, and specifications.
  • Select, align, and secure fixtures and tools on machines.
  • Load raw materials and set machine controls for manual or CNC operations.
  • Operate machines, monitor for malfunctions, and adjust controls as needed.
  • Unload, deburr, and inspect finished parts for conformance to specifications.
  • Maintain cleanliness and perform routine maintenance on equipment and work area.
  • Collaborate with team members to resolve machining issues.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED; VoTech or trade school preferred.
  • 3-5 years of machining experience or completion of a machining apprenticeship.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents and communicate effectively.
  • Mathematical skills including fractions, percentages, and geometry.
  • Problem-solving skills and ability to interpret instructions.
  • Basic computer skills.
Work Environment & Physical Demands

Work near moving mechanical parts with moderate noise levels. Physical requirements include standing, handling, walking, reaching, and lifting up to 50 pounds, with vision abilities including close and depth perception.
