Sheridan MN is seeking an experienced, dedicated, and detail-oriented Large Machine Operator to join our team at the Brainerd, MN facility. This role involves setting up and operating large bindery equipment on the 2nd shift.

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Set up, operate, and maintain large bindery equipment including cutters, folders, stitchers, BF case-in-line, Kolbus perfect binder, and KM-600 perfect binder.
2. Read and verify work orders for bind type, bulk, trim size, margins, and run lengths.
3. Perform quality binding and lead by example.
4. Follow daily scheduling instructions.
5. Ensure high throughput through quick and efficient changeovers.
6. Inspect for quality defects and maintain quality standards.
7. Perform preventative maintenance and cleaning of equipment.
8. Troubleshoot and perform minor repairs as needed.

Basic Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• At least two years of experience with similar binding equipment.
• Three years of bindery experience.
• Ability to read and understand instructions and work orders.
• Basic math skills and ability to use measuring devices.
• Basic problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Background in graphic arts or technical education.

Physical Requirements

• Wearing safety shoes and hearing protection required.
• Prolonged standing, bending, lifting up to 50 pounds, pushing, and pulling.
• Willing to work all shifts.
