JOB SUMMARY: Sets up and operates Packaging Equipment to produce a finished product that meets quality control and production standards.

Principal Duties/Responsibilities
  1. Determine product to run per production orders, drain product auger, and clean line as needed.
  2. Change film and/or packaging for products.
  3. Perform machine adjustments related to photo eye/film tracking, tooling, coder, labeler, machine computer, and filler computer.
  4. Adjust machine speed to optimum level.
  5. Exercise care to prevent material losses or damages to products.
  6. Assist mechanics in troubleshooting and repairing machines.
  7. Clean equipment between product changes as required by QC.
  8. Check setup accuracy for each tote and sign off.
  9. Inspect finished products for quality, including pouch seals, case print, weights, etc.
  10. Participate in safety programs and adhere to safety rules and regulations.
  11. Maintain regular attendance, dependability, and reliability.
Other Duties/Responsibilities
  1. Keep equipment and work area neat and orderly.
  2. Package products by hand as produced on machines.
  3. Pack pouches into cases and assemble cartons.
  4. Log shift activities and downtime using the Redzone app on an iPad.
  5. Assist with preventive maintenance tasks.
  6. Perform additional duties and projects as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
  1. Perform basic math calculations.
  2. Follow verbal, demonstrated, and written instructions.
  3. Carry out routine, repetitive tasks.
  4. Perform heavy physical work, exerting up to 75 lbs. occasionally and 50 lbs. frequently.
  5. Wear protective clothing and equipment as required.
  6. Adhere to grooming standards for a food manufacturing environment.
Language Skills

Must be able to speak, write, and communicate effectively in English with colleagues and supervisors.
