Job summary

Farm Bureau Financial Services is seeking a Property Claims General Adjuster in Iowa to investigate, evaluate, negotiate, and settle property claims across the state. The role requires expertise in policy interpretation, coverage analysis, and subrogation, with emphasis on large losses and professional stakeholder collaboration.

You will work from a home office and field, travel throughout Iowa, and use Xactimate to estimate claims while staying current on state laws and maintaining high

Qualifications

• College degree or equivalent required; experience preferred.
• AIC, AINS and CPCU designations preferred.
• Xactimate Level 1 & 2 certifications preferred.
• Stay up to date with legislation in your primary state.
• High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Must be able to travel and work in varied weather; able to climb ladders.
• Must live or reside in Western or Central Iowa; travel across the state of Iowa.
• Valid driver’s license and clean MVR.

Responsibilities

• Investigate, evaluate, negotiate, and settle property claims within an assigned local territory.
• Handle large losses across the state of Iowa and determine coverage, subrogation, and reserves.
• Interpret policy and applicable tort law; utilize Xactimate for estimating.
• Maintain professional relationships with coworkers, agents, claimants, policyholders, engineers, and contractors.
