Job summary

DCG ONE is seeking a Large Format Operator to run and maintain a range of large-format output devices in our Seattle facility. You will manage 3.2 meter UV hybrids, 63-inch roll-to-rolls, and related equipment while upholding quality and productivity on third shift.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years of experience with large-format printers, strong attention to detail, and familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite and RIP/workflow software. Teamwork and safety are emphasized in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• At least two (2) years of experience operating large, wide- or grand-format printers.
• Basic Electro/Mechanical skills are desirable.
• Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite, RIPs or workflow software is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operates Large Format Printers: efi Vutek, efi Q3H XP, Canon, Epson.
• Occasionally operate ancillary Large Format Equipment: Kongsberg, Fotoba, Seal.
• Build and maintain a strong understanding of print media and output techniques.
• Precisely follow work orders; track quantities and versions printed.
• Perform daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance machine routines.
• Inventory and order ink and consumables; communicate print requirements to Prepress.
• Contribute to team workshops and training events; attend production meetings.
• Identify and assess quality defects in media and print; follow protocols.
• Contribute to development of new internal processes; provide service to sales/project teams.
• Handle heavy rolls and rigid sheets of printing media.
