Job summary

DCG ONE, based in Seattle, seeks a Large Format Prepress Operator to prepare artwork files for output on wide- and grand-format printers. You will perform preflight checks, file preparation, proofing and imposition, using Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat, Bridge and related tools.

The ideal candidate has at least two years of experience with large-format workflows, knowledge of RIPs or workflow automation, and a team-oriented approach on a production floor.

Qualifications

• At least two years of experience preparing files for Large/Wide/Grand Format Printers.
• Knowledge of RIPs and/or Workflow Automation Software is a plus.
• Experience with Adobe Creative Suite focusing on Illustrator is required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare Artwork Files for output on Large Format Printers, Cutters, and Finishing equipment.
• Apply strong working knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite, with a focus on Illustrator.
• Identify File Formats, Resolution, Color Modes, Spot colors, and other relevant file attributes.
• Advise and convey key file details and best practices to Project Managers and Sales.
• Build knowledge of Print Medias, Equipment, and Production Techniques.
• Collaborate within a team of Prepress Operators and participate in workshops and meetings.
