Lansing, MI Field Sales Account Executive

Overview

As an SMB Flex Territory Sales Account Executive, you will be part of a team transforming how restaurants operate. Using a consultative approach, you will prospect, build relationships, and sign up new restaurateurs in your local area. Your understanding of their needs will help develop tailored solutions to support their growth. We need your passion and expertise to expand the Toast brand in your territory.

Location

This is a field sales role based out of a personal home office. You must reside in or be willing to relocate to Lansing, MI.

Responsibilities
  1. Generate a list of prospective restaurants and manage the full sales cycle from initial contact to closing the sale.
  2. Conduct demos and develop solutions aligned with prospect needs.
  3. Collaborate with teams across the company to ensure delivery meets sales expectations.
  4. Use Salesforce CRM to track all sales activities.
  5. Understand the competitive landscape and position Toast effectively in the market.
Requirements
  • At least 1 year of experience in sales, restaurant operations, or a related field.
  • Reliable transportation (mileage reimbursed) as this is a field role.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and presentation skills with negotiation ability.
  • Proven success in meeting or exceeding sales goals.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
  • Self-motivated, creative, and adaptable.
  • Technical proficiency with software tools.
Preferred Skills
  • Experience with Salesforce CRM.
  • Sandler Sales Training or similar.
Compensation & Benefits

We offer competitive pay and benefits designed to attract and retain top talent. Our total rewards include salary, commissions, benefits, and equity (if eligible). The estimated total targeted cash compensation ranges from $129,000 to $206,000 annually, with uncapped commissions. Starting salary depends on experience and location.
