Job summary

Chevy Chase Acura in Bethesda, MD, is hiring a Lane Manager to serve as second-in-command of the service department. You will run daily operations, dispatch repairs, and lead technicians and service advisors to ensure accurate estimates, clear inspections, and first-time-right vehicle fixes.

Reporting to the Service Director, you’ll schedule workloads, train staff, and ensure warranty paperwork and inspections meet the department standards.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in a dealership service department (dispatcher, advisor, technician or foreman).
• 1+ year leading a team.
• Acura or Honda experience preferred; Dealertrack and Xtime a plus.
• Strong mechanical knowledge and the respect of a shop.
• Valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Run the service department day to day, lane and shop, with our Service Director.
• Dispatch every repair order and keep the shop loaded and on time.
• Lead, coach and schedule our technicians and keep their Acura training current.
• Lead our service advisors on estimates, promise times and customer concerns.
• Own inspection quality, warranty paperwork and the department’s standards.
• Close the department on assigned nights.

The role

We’re hiring a Lane Manager to be second-in-command of our service department. You’ll run the day: dispatch the work, lead our technicians, lead our service advisors, and make sure every customer gets a fair estimate, a clear inspection report, and a car fixed right the first time. You’ll report to our Service Director and run the department when the Director is out.

Pay and benefits

• Pay: $26,000 base salary plus monthly performance bonuses; expected total annual earnings $63,000–$88,000

Schedule

Five days a week, including rotating Saturdays, with some closing shifts. Our service department is open six days a week.
