Job summary

City of San Antonio is seeking a senior leader to oversee Landside Operations at the San Antonio International Airport. You will manage programs, supervise staff, and ensure compliance with FAR Part 139 and related safety standards.

The role involves coordinating complex landside projects, budgeting, and reporting to the Assistant Aviation Director of Operations and Facilities Management. A strong background in airport operations and regulatory compliance is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university.
• Five (5) years of experience in airport operations at a medium or large hub airport, including FAR 77 and 139.
• Valid Class 'C' Texas Driver's License.
• Must pass TSA Security Threat Assessment and a Criminal History Records check.
• Must maintain federally mandated security clearance to work at an airport.

Responsibilities

• Manages major airport landside emergencies on a 24-hour basis and makes critical decisions for landside operations.
• Implements safety initiatives and training as part of SMS program.
• Ensures compliance with Airport Rules, safety standards, and procedures.
• Coordinates projects and procurement for landside operations and safety initiatives.
• Prepares operating and capital budgets for Landside Operations and reports to management.
