Job summary

City of San Antonio is seeking a responsible supervisor to manage custodial operations for a large City facility complex. You will direct Maintenance Workers and Crew Leaders, plan daily work, and ensure compliance with safety and airport security requirements.

Responsibilities include supervising custodial crews, evaluating work quality, managing supplies, and coordinating with the Facility Maintenance Division.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED, required.
• Three years in building maintenance or custodial work, including one year supervisory.
• Must pass TSA Security Threat Assessment and background checks; airport security clearance required.

Responsibilities

• Plan and prepare work assignments and schedules for custodial crews.
• Direct and evaluate work through Crew Leaders and supervision.
• Maintain inventory of equipment and supplies; monitor issuance of supplies.
• Identify facility maintenance issues and submit work orders.
• Respond to after-hours emergencies for custodial needs.
• Schedule, train, and evaluate custodial staff.
• Establish standards for custodial supplies and equipment.
• Prepare activity and administrative reports and service maintenance agreements.
