Job summary

City of San Antonio seeks an experienced airport operations leader to plan, organize, and supervise Landside Operations at San Antonio International Airport. You will oversee staff, enforce FAR 139 compliance, and drive safety initiatives within the SMS program while coordinating multi-entity projects and budgets.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree, 5+ years of airport ops experience, a Texas Class C license, and the ability to obtain TSA clearance and a federal security clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Five years of airport operations experience at a medium/large hub airport.
• Valid Class 'C' Texas Driver's License.
• Must pass TSA Security Threat Assessment and background checks.
• Must maintain federally mandated security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Manages major airport landside emergencies on a 24-hour basis and makes critical decisions during emergencies.
• Implements and ensures integrity of airport safety initiatives and SMS program.
• Ensures standards and procedures for the Airport Operations Section.
• Ensures tenant compliance with Airport Rules and Regulations and safety standards.
• Manages safety compliance for terminal/landside construction and operation around equipment/personnel.
• Coordinates projects and procurement for Landside Operations and safety initiatives.
