Job summary

Noise Control Engineering, LLC (NCE) is seeking a mid-level Acoustic Engineer to join our landside acoustic consulting team in Massachusetts. You will combine analytical modeling, hands-on field testing, and direct client collaboration to address noise and vibration challenges across industrial, architectural, and environmental projects.

You will lead technical efforts, manage projects, and contribute to business development while working in a collaborative, employee-owned environment.

Qualifications

• BS, MS, or PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Acoustics, or related field.
• Minimum of four (4) years of experience in acoustic consulting, noise assessments, and noise control.
• Understanding of sound and vibration control in industrial, environmental, and commercial environments.
• Experience with acoustic modeling tools such as Cadna, SoundPlan, and Odeon.
• Experience with acoustic testing and data processing using Matlab or Python.
• Experience leading and managing noise control projects, individually or with a team.
• Travel and fieldwork required; valid driver's license and passport may be needed.
• U.S. Citizenship required due to government project restrictions.

Responsibilities

• Work directly with clients to understand needs, select analysis and testing methods, and develop solutions to acoustic challenges.
• As a technical leader, manage projects and support colleagues with model-based assessments and field testing.
• Report to the Landside Acoustics Group Lead, overseeing project portfolio and business development.
• Represent NCE at industry trade shows and expand the landside business.
