  • As a technical leader, you will manage projects and other NCE personnel, contribute expertise in model‑based assessments and in‑field testing, and help colleagues grow through a collaborative learning environment.
  • You will report to the Landside Acoustics Group Lead, who oversees business development and the group's project portfolio.
  • The role also provides opportunities to represent NCE at industry trade shows and events and to help expand the company's landside business.

  • Strive for excellence.
  • Demonstrate a mutual respect for coworkers in a culture of collaboration, integrity, and innovation.
  • Are willing to take on our clients' problems as our own, become the clients' advocate, and cultivate long‑term client relationships.
  • Demonstrate excellent written, verbal, and graphical communication.
  • Demonstrate a passion for noise and vibration control.
  • Are motivated to identify and pursue internal and external professional growth opportunities, including areas outside their specific discipline.
Education
  • BS, MS, or PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Acoustics, or other related field, preferably with coursework in acoustics and/or vibrations.
Requirements
  • A minimum of four (4) years of experience in acoustic consulting, noise assessments, and noise control is required.
  • A demonstrated understanding of sound and vibration control in a range of industrial, environmental, and other commercial environments.
  • A demonstrated understanding of noise ordinances and requirements applied to communities and work settings.
  • Experience with positive client interaction.
  • Experience with successful use of acoustic modeling tools such as Cadna, SoundPlan, and Odeon.
  • Experience and understanding of the use of acoustic test equipment and data processing methods using Matlab, Python, or similar.
  • Experience in leading and managing noise control projects, individually and with a team.
  • Experience performing acoustic testing for diagnostics and compliance.
  • Acoustic computational modeling experience with demonstrated success.
  • Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office software.
