Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in landscape installation or project supervision.

• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.

Landscape Installation Superintendent

Location: Longs, SC
Job Type: Full-Time
Salary: $50,000 - $65,000 per year, based on experience

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Landscape Installation Superintendent to oversee landscape installation projects and support multiple field crews throughout the Longs, SC area. This position is responsible for ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, on schedule, within budget, and according to company quality standards.

The ideal candidate has experience in landscape construction, irrigation systems, crew leadership, project coordination, and job-site safety. This role serves as a key liaison between field crews, management, subcontractors, vendors, and clients.

Key Responsibilities

Project & Crew Leadership

• Oversee daily operations for up to four landscape installation crews, including direct supervision of an assigned crew.
• Coordinate labor resources and crew assignments based on project schedules and operational needs.
• Communicate project expectations, priorities, and daily objectives to field personnel.
• Monitor project progress to help ensure work is completed according to plans, specifications, and timelines.
• Promote efficient use of labor, materials, equipment, and job-site resources.

Quality & Safety

• Conduct routine job-site inspections to verify quality workmanship and adherence to safety standards.
• Ensure proper installation of irrigation systems, plant materials, trees, sod, and other landscape features.
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe work environments.
• Identify and communicate project challenges, delays, safety concerns, or operational issues in a timely manner.

Materials & Equipment Management

• Coordinate and order materials needed for active projects while maintaining budget awareness.
• Forecast material needs to support project schedules and minimize delays.
• Ensure crews have appropriate tools, equipment, and attachments available for daily operations.
• Assist with tracking maintenance needs for vehicles and equipment.

Communication & Team Development

• Maintain professional communication with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams.
• Support employee training, coaching, and development initiatives.
• Assist with project planning, scheduling, and resource allocation.
• Foster a positive, professional, and safety-focused work environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in landscape installation, landscape construction, project supervision, or a related field leadership role.
• Working knowledge of landscape installation practices, irrigation systems, plant materials, and construction methods.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, landscape designs, and project specifications.
• Experience managing multiple projects, crews, or both.
• Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Bilingual English/Spanish skills are a plus but not required.
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Ability to safely perform the physical requirements of the position, which may include standing, walking, bending, lifting, carrying, and moving materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Experience operating or overseeing the use of landscape equipment and machinery preferred.

Compensation & Benefits

Salary: $50,000 - $65,000 annually, based on qualifications and experience.
