Job description

Landscaper Job Requirements and Responsibilities:

Follows written and verbal instructions from the crew leader and clients.

• Clean driving record
• Able to work in 2 man or 3 man crew and function as independent foreman
• Must know how to troubleshoot irrigation, sprinkler, and drainage issues and fix issues on site, including wiring of valves and controllers (3 or more years experience)
• Ability to work valve locator
• Plants new flowers, trees, grass, hedges, and bushes
• Maintains gardens and lawns, including trimming, pruning, raking, and weeding
• Install outdoor lighting
• Follow blueprints to install flower bed rock bed borders
• Builds and renovates stone pathways, patios, pavers, and ledges (2 or more years of experience)
• Drainage knowledge (3 or more years of experience)
• Experience installing pavers
• Loads and unloads equipment and tools into work vehicles
• Drives work vehicles to and from sites
• Adheres to all safety precautions
• Ability to safely drive landscape truck and trailer and haul equipment to and from job site

Full-time permanent position: Monday-Friday, 40 hours per week

Landscaper Qualifications and Skills:

• Uses equipment, including tractors, mowers, leaf blowers, and aerators
• Lifts 50 pounds and handles the physical demands of the job, including standing, bending, lifting, pulling, and climbing
• Communicates effectively; speaking multiple languages is preferred
• Works well independently and with a team

Education and Experience Requirements:

• At least 3 years of landscaping experience is preferred, but not required
• Must have a driver’s license and a clean driving record
• Must be over 25 years old
