The University of Virginia's College at Wise seeks a full-time Landscaper responsible for maintaining campus grounds through various landscaping duties, including mowing and weeding. Applicants should have a high school diploma, a valid driver's license, and preferably some landscaping experience.
The University of Virginia's College at Wise invites applications for a Landscaper. This is a full-time 12-month position responsible for maintaining the campus by performing weed pulling, mulching, leaf removal, mowing, weed eating, litter removal, and other duties related to landscaping. This position will require the use and routine maintenance of standard landscaping equipment such as mowers, weed eaters, and blowers. During the winter, assisting with removal of snow and ice on campus is required.
A high school diploma or equivalent is required as well as a valid driver's license. Previous experience with landscaping is preferred. PHYSICAL DEMANDS
This job will require standing, traveling, and lifting above and below the waist various weights which may include different landscape equipment and materials. The use of both hands and a repetitive motion will be required while pruning, driving, weeding, and pushing lawn mowers.
