Qualifications

• Punctual and reliable team member with strong follow-through.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced outdoor/garage environment.
• Fluent in Spanish and English is highly preferred.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Experience using MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Perform inventory control and order purchasing of tools, vehicles, equipment, and supplies.
• Transport and deliver company vehicles including trucks and trailers.
• Assist with fleet maintenance scheduling and capital requests; ensure decals and registrations.
• Maintain vehicle records: registrations, insurance, driver records, recalls.
• Ensure compliance with DOT regulations and company policy for drivers/vehicles.
• Assist with shop inventory control and equipment rentals.
• Provide basic administrative support (filing, data entry, phones, safety binders).

This position is located in Palo Alto, CA

• RESPONSIBILITIES of the Landscape Yard Assistant will include, but not limited to:
• Performs inventory control & order purchasing of tools, vehicles, equipment, chemical supplies, etc
• Transport & delivery of company vehicles including trucks, trailers and equipment
• Assists with scheduling repairs or preventative maintenance, ensuring that the necessary numbers of fleet vehicles, assist with processing capital requests & ensures the vehicles start operations decal
• Maintains all vehicle records to include registration renewals, stickers/license plates, car insurance tracking & distribution, driver records, ensure registration handle & arrange the safety recall notices as necessary & assists with processing capital requests
• Handles all other tasks related to the fleet, including but not limited to making sure all drivers and vehicles adhere to DOT regulations
• Assist with equipment rentals and managing shop inventory
• Assist with cleaning, sweeping, trash pick up and organizing tools and equipment
• Provide basic administrative support such as: filing, sorting, data entry, answering phones, creating safety binders and assist with special projects as needed
• SKILLS & EXPERIENCE that are necessary as a Landscape Yard Asst. will include, but not limited to:
• Must be punctual, reliable and a team player
• Must be able to drive company vehicles including large trucks and trailers
• Bilingual & fluent in Spanish & English is highly preferred
• Ability to multi-task, strong organizational & follow up skills, process-driven & able to meet changing deadlines
• Basic working knowledge in MS Office Programs (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc) & working in a fast paced environment

Hourly Range

• $24.00 - $26.00 per hour (specific compensation may vary based on overall skills, experience and location)
