Job summary

Franklin Brothers Landscaping, an Indianapolis-based family-owned company, seeks a dedicated sales hire to build the function from the ground up. You will respond to inbound leads, cultivate outbound opportunities in commercial maintenance and snow & ice, and shape pricing and standards for years to come.

In this in-person role, you will close deals, develop client relationships, and drive revenue growth through effective CRM use and performance-driven accountability.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of sales experience in B2B or service industries.
• Ability to respond to inbound leads quickly and close deals.
• Comfort with commission-based compensation and meeting targets.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to Indianapolis office.

Responsibilities

• Respond to inbound leads quickly and professionally, close quotes and follow up until they close.
• Meet with clients in person to understand scope, build trust, and move opportunities forward.
• Prepare estimates using established pricing templates, and collaborate with a landscape designer on design/build opportunities.
• Prospect and close commercial maintenance, snow & ice, and related service opportunities.
• Own the client experience from first contact through completed job, coordinating with operations.

Franklin Brothers Landscaping is a family-owned Indianapolis landscaping company. We started in 2020 and now handle landscape installation, maintenance, and snow & ice management for residential to commercial properties that include Fortune 500 sites and 24/7 distribution & manufacturing facilities.

The Opportunity

This is our first dedicated sales hire. You'll build the sales function from the ground up rather than inherit someone else's system. You'll respond to and close inbound leads, develop outbound opportunities in commercial maintenance as well as snow & ice, and help shape the pricing, systems, and standards this role will run on for years.

Compensation

• Pay is composed of base salary + commission.
• On target earnings ranging from $60,000-80,000, with room to grow as you ramp.
• Annual performance bonus tied to company results.

What You'll Do

• Respond to inbound leads quickly and professionally, turning quotes around fast and following up until they close.
• Meet with clients in person to understand scope, build trust, and move opportunities forward.
• Prepare estimates using our established pricing templates, and work with a landscape designer on design/build opportunities.
• Prospect and close commercial maintenance, snow & ice, and related service opportunities.
• Own the client experience from first contact through completed job, coordinating with operations so what gets delivered matches what was sold.
• Build long-term commercial relationships focused on retention, expansion, and referrals.

Systems & Reporting

• Keep your pipeline and client records accurate and current. We run on a modern CRM and use AI-enabled systems.
• Track and report KPIs: pipeline value, close rate, gross margin on sold contracts, quote turnaround time, and client retention.
• Meet weekly with ownership to review open opportunities, closed deals, and priorities.

Who We're Looking For

We're looking for someone motivated to sell who can build and keep client relationships. Prior experience in the landscape industry helps, but you do not need a landscaping background.

• Sales experience required; two or more years preferred. B2B or service-industry sales is a plus.
• Consultative selling and prospecting ability, with a genuine drive to close and a professional presence in front of clients.
• Strong communication and follow-through.
• Comfortable managing your own pipeline in a CRM and working with minimal supervision.
• Organized enough to juggle multiple opportunities without dropping details.
• Comfortable with technology and willing to use AI tools day to day.
• Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and reliable transportation to our Indianapolis office.
• Willingness to learn our services, pricing, and process quickly.
• Must pass a pre-employment background check and be authorized to work in the United States.

Nice to have, not required:

experience in landscaping, home services, construction, or another field-service industry, and the ability to read basic landscape plans.

Schedule

Monday through Friday, daytime hours. Occasional evenings or weekends during peak season. Availability by phone after hours as needed, including in-person site visits during major snow and ice events.
