Job summary

Oakridge Landscape, Inc. is seeking a highly organized Landscape Purchasing Agent with strong vendor management to support procurement across our commercial and residential projects.

You will source materials, create purchase orders, negotiate terms, and maintain supplier relationships to ensure timely, cost-efficient deliveries. This role requires excellent communication, Excel proficiency, and experience with ERP/MRP systems, along with the ability to collaborate with internal teams and field

Qualifications

• 3+ years of purchasing, procurement, or supply chain experience.
• Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook.
• Experience working with ERP, MRP, or purchasing management systems.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Source and procure materials, supplies, equipment, and services per company requirements.
• Create, process, and manage purchase orders with accuracy and timely delivery.
• Develop and strengthen relationships with vendors and suppliers.
• Evaluate vendor performance including quality, pricing, delivery and service levels.
• Negotiate pricing, payment terms, contracts and service agreements to achieve cost savings.
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate replenishment as needed.
• Resolve vendor discrepancies, invoice issues, shipment delays, and product quality concerns.
• Maintain purchasing records, contracts, and supplier documentation.
• Collaborate with internal departments to understand purchasing needs and support operational goals.
• Generate procurement reports and analyze purchasing trends using Excel.
• Ensure compliance with procurement policies and applicable regulations.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and supplier optimization.
