Oakridge Landscape, Inc. is seeking a Landscape Purchasing Agent to support procurement operations, source materials, negotiate with vendors, manage purchase orders, and track deliveries.

The ideal candidate will have 3+ years in purchasing, plus proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP/MRP systems, enabling cost-effective purchasing and inventory management

Qualifications

  • Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and other Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience working with ERP, MRP, or purchasing management systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.

Responsibilities

  • Source and procure materials, supplies, equipment, and services in accordance with company requirements.
  • Create, process, and manage purchase orders while ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.
  • Develop, maintain, and strengthen relationships with vendors and suppliers.
  • Evaluate vendor performance, including quality, pricing, delivery, and service levels.
  • Negotiate pricing, payment terms, contracts, and service agreements to achieve cost savings.
  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate replenishment activities as needed.
  • Resolve vendor discrepancies, invoice issues, shipment delays, and product quality concerns.
  • Maintain accurate purchasing records, contracts, and supplier documentation.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to understand purchasing needs and support operational goals.
  • Generate procurement reports and analyze purchasing trends using Microsoft Excel.
  • Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and applicable regulations.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and supplier optimization.

We are seeking a highly organized and results-driven Landscape Purchasing Agent with strong Vendor Management experience to support procurement operations and maintain effective supplier relationships. The ideal candidate will be responsible for sourcing materials and services, negotiating with vendors, managing purchase orders, tracking deliveries, and ensuring cost-effective purchasing practices. This role requires excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with both internal teams and external suppliers.
