Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Horticulture, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 3–5+ years of procurement or purchasing experience in landscaping, horticulture, construction, or related industries.
• Supervisory or team leadership experience preferred.
• Strong negotiation, vendor management, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency with procurement/ERP software.
• Knowledge of landscape materials, plant sourcing, and irrigation.
• Excellent communication skills across field crews, vendors, and leadership.

Responsibilities

• Oversee procurement activities related to landscaping materials, including plants, irrigation material, soil, mulch, and equipment.
• Develop and enforce procurement policies, procedures, and best practices across the department.
• Monitor spending against budgets and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Ensure compliance with company purchasing policies, contracts, and regulations.
• Track procurement KPIs and report to management.
• Review requisitions and create, issue, and track POs for plants, mulch, soil, irrigation materials, tools, and equipment.
• Verify pricing, quantities, and delivery terms; reconcile POs with invoices.
• Identify, evaluate, and onboard new suppliers; negotiate pricing and terms.
• Coordinate material and equipment delivery with project timelines and field requests.
• Supervise, train, and mentor purchasing staff; manage workloads and performance.
