Job summary

Southern Shade Tree Co. is seeking an experienced Landscape Production Manager to direct and coordinate our Production/New Home Division. You will oversee multiple crews, monitor scheduling, and ensure quality work on behalf of our Carolinas clients.

This role emphasizes safety, communication, and leadership as you partner with the VP of Operations to meet project targets and stay within budget. A valid driver's license and strong organizational skills are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years experience in production landscaping or related field.
• Ability to manage 3-4 crews and coordinate multiple tasks.
• Strong verbal, written, and presentation communication skills.
• Proven ability to work independently and in a team-based environment.
• Willingness to adapt to changing priorities and schedules.
• Excellent multitasking and organizational abilities.
• Willingness to be in a support role while effectively communicating with the team.
• Valid Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Monitor scheduling and job tracking on a daily basis.
• Visit job sites to observe work and resolve training issues for quality results.
• Manage labor teams and supervise performance.
• Keep overtime under 5% and track staff hours.
• Coordinate with designers/trades and VP of Operations to ensure progress.
• Meet client needs in a timely, cost-effective manner.
• Track change notices and change orders.
• Organize task scheduling for team members.
• Communicate clearly with landscape team and management.
• Delegate tasks effectively and participate in regular team meetings.

Southern Shade Tree Co is a full-service landscaping and tree service provider with over 50 years of experience exceeding client's expectations in the Carolinas.

Our company is growing and we are looking to hire an experienced Landscape Production Manager who will be responsible for directing, organizing and controlling project activities in our Production/New Home Division.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years experience, preferably in production landscaping with regional and national honebuilders
• Ability to manager 3-4 crews
• Effective communication skills including verbal, written and presentation skills
• Proven ability to work effectively both independently and in a team-based environment
• Demonstrated willingness to be flexible and adaptable to changing priorities
• Strong multi-tasking and organizational skills
• Being willing to be in a support role and being an effective communicator
• Valid Driver's License

Duties & Responsibilities

• Responsible for daily monitoring of schedule and job tracking
• Visit job sites on a regular basis, observe the organization of work, identify and resolve training issues, and take necessary actions to ensure quality work.
• Manage labor team(s)
• Monitor staff hours and maintain the company goal of less than 5% over time
• Track the progress and quality of work being performed by design disciplines/trades while working hand-in-hand with the VP of Operations
• Ensure client's needs are met in a timely and cost-effective manner
• Track and manage contemplated change notices and change orders.
• Assist in organizing and completing job task scheduling for team members.
• Communicate effectively with the landscape team to ensure tasks and instructions are understood.
• Communicate with management and staff effectively.
• Manage time and resources well.
• Demonstrate good organizational and leadership ability.
• Effectively delegate tasks to team members.
• Assist in any regular meetings with the landscape team to determine any problem areas, and seek suggestions from the team.
